The project has been published in twelve episodes under the title "One year with the Beatles" on the website www.fingerpicking.net, the benchmark of acoustic guitarists, not just Italians. For this reason, starting from October 5th, 2010, the work of the four of Liverpool has been divided into twelve episodes dedicated to them, to their music, and to the fact that this was mostly played with our beloved instrument, the guitar. The division in twelve episodes has been made by ourselves in an arbitrary way, as personal has been what we have been writing. About the Fab Four everything and the opposite has been said: we have no hidden secrets, but the love for their music has been a good excuse to have fun, one more time, trying to see things from a different point of view. How we divided everything… you'll discover that by reading. Together with the singer-guitarist and friend (and fine connoisseur of Beatles’ things) Davide Canazza, we have been grooming through the played and sang notes, dividing the work between general thoughts written by me, and thorough examinations in ‘who played what’, gear analysis and more written by Davide. Along the way we have tried to involve some friends, musicians and journalists, who were so kind and liked to add something. We have for example a contribution by Rod Davis, who played with John Lennon as a teenager in the legendary Quarrymen, and one from Dennis Conroy, Liverpool musician that used to go to the Cavern Club to see The Beatles, telling us all. We’re not ‘historians’ or maniacs about dates, places, instruments or whatever, but we have tried to express in the simplest and more direct way our thoughts and emotions about this amazing band, arguable thoughts, but ours.
